We're back
Hello. Dovid and I are back from the D.R. (yeah, that's local lingo for Dominican Republic.) The weather was awesome (about 90deg), the hotel/resort was beautiful. But I have to say I was a bit home/kid sick. I know, that sounds hard to believe, but it was so good to be home and see the kids again. Like Mama always says "there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed." A HUGE thank you to Devorah for pulling through a babysitting. I really appreciate it. I'm sure someday you'll ask me to return the favor..... Rivka

"new" bookshelves
Hey, Meir
So, I just love the video you took of the kids when Hadassah was away. But the real question is... how was the pickle salad on shabbos.
hey there
all is well in Teich-Land. We're done with Levi and Simcha's birthdays. they were both very fun and successful. All the kids are at the dentist right now--with Dovid--while I'm home finishing the lasagna for dinner. Estee lost both top front teeth within the last few days. she looks so cute. Dovid and I are starting our preparation for our trip to the D.R. this weekend. Trying to figure out what food to bring, snacks. and getting all the final details together for the kids. bye, Rivka Welcome back Hadassah and Hindy. Have a great time Iddo and Etta.

Rozy's first food!
Well, Rozy is now a big girl! She had sweet potato(baby food jar) and absolutely loved it. If it were up to her, she would love to eat more and more. I had to actually stop her from eating too much. Anyhow, here are some of the pictures that we took of her first "solids."
BTW, I will be adding more pictures to the shutterfly site. Look out in your email for an update.

Uh oh - Mr. Mom
There will probably many more moments to be filmed, i'm sure many of them i wont want Hadassah to see, cause i want her to wanna come back :) though we are all very happy for her to have the time of her life again. So far so good. Survived day 1 = counting sefiah like you do know, with all the brochos - even making up brochas :) seriously, as long as Hadassah a wonderful time in Cali = it was a fantastic day in the Geisinsky household, across the board.
All the best
I made it!
Okay. I got onto the blog, that's the first step...thank you Meir. I will try to contribute as often as possible. The birthday party on sunday was a lot of fun, big success. I know Levi was zonked by bedtime, I'm sure Geisinsky's too. It was great that everyone was there-thanks Iddo and Etta for coming all the way out. Today is Simcha's Hebrew birthday (I forgot too, I thought it was Tuesday oops...) He brought donuts and soda to school-that's what the kids do. and maybe on sunday he'll go with 2 or 3 friends and Dovid ice skating or bowling and come home for pizza and cake and presents with the rest of the family. Yeah, I got a babysitter for when Dovid and I go away. what a relief, next time i better check the calendar twice. now i just have to work out the little details. snowstorm...what snowstorm? i think everyone was a little disappointed. Estee had a scheduled snow fight with her class and teacher, oh well. and Levi wore his boots the whole day. Hadassah and Hindy: Have a super vacation! Rivka

Birthday Party

I
guess I'm the fastest to post my pi
ctures from
the wonderful birthday party. Happy Birthday Levi Teich and Rosy Geisinsky! It was really nice having everyone together(minus Shmuely). Here are some of my pictures that I have. Sorry that I had to leave early, and that Shmuely could not make it, but work comes first in cases like this! It looked like fun with the presents and all. Thanks to Hinda Teich for the beautiful photography(maybe she's taking a hobby after an aunt?!). Enjoy and thanks again!

Rozy's Milestones!!!!
Rozy sat all by herself(with us right next to her) for about 2 minutes!!! Yeah!!! We are hitting some big milestones over here. Rozy is teething these days, and eating EVERYTHING she can get her hands on. She finally started pushing herself up on her arms, and attempting to roll over; and is loving food. She had some yummy (diluted) soup this Shabbos and just couldn't get enough of it. When I stopped feeding her, and had her on my lap, she reached to the table for the spoon! Here are some pictures of some exciting things that she is doing. Hope everyone is well, and happy birthday to the birthday kids of the month!!!!

Well since you asked...
Hey Everyone,
I haven't spoken to many of you in quite some time. It seems that at around this time of the year, after Chanukah till Purim, we get settled in, immerse ourselves in our own lives, and wait out the cold in the hopes of warm weather and summer freedom. With that said, I will share some of the events of the past few weeks.
We recently returned from a trip to Montreal where we stayed in the heart of the old Montreal, a few blocks from the Olympic center and close to china town (yes they have a china town there too). Overall the trip was enjoyable, pretty cool sights, extremely pricey, and tons of kosher food. It seems out there that the Jewish community is in LOVE with Chinese food and sushi. You cannot go into a cafe, pizza store, Israeli restaurant, or the kosher market without being offered General Tzo's and a California roll. Ironically, the night before we left we went out to a Sushi restaurant in Manhattan (our first time in a year or so).
We spent last weekend by Tuli and Chani Frankel, friends of ours from Crown Heights, but now living in prospect heights. Simcha Aron Cyrulnik, Avi Stein, Shmari Rodman, and Aryeh Levin joined us. If that wasn't enough, on Moztei Shabbos we went out for some pizza and were further joined by Yossi and Dov Notik, Justin Forsberg, Sholi and Dovi Goodman, and a few other friends. I couldn't help but be amazed at how different, yet connected all of us still are.
For the rest, life is going well, I am working very hard at both my jobs. Feeling slightly intimidated by it all, but enjoying the experience nonetheless.
We are headed out to California in 2 weeks, which should be fun.
Hope everyone is doing amazing and would love to hear from you all

Rozy 4 Months
Just keeping everyone updated. We went to apply for a passport for Rozy today, and hopefully it will come on time for our trip to Montreal. Yes, we are going to Montreal. We have a Bar Mitzvah there in February. I heard that Iddo & Etta were there. Did you guys like it? Let's hear from everyone else out there!
